Just that this isn't the RPi thread, it's the x86 thread...

my bad, yes i just noticed that, too many tabs open Rofl , thanks milhouse
@SharpCoder: Please re-post your details in the RPi thread, if anyone else has a similar issue they can confirm. Would be great if you can identify when (which build) the issue starts... most likely a kernel bump, although if 8.0/8.1 behaves the same then it's not a recent bump (they're both using 4.9.13, I believe). Including dmesg/journalctl/lsusb details would also help identify your dongle chipset.

@ksooo, since build #0330, seek-to-timecode (ie. punching numbers on a numeric keypad while playing a video) no longer works - digits no longer appear on the screen, there is no seeking.

Reproducible on both RPi and Generic builds. Works fine in build #0329, doesn't work in build #0330.

Other than an unrelated Estuary change, the only Kodi changes in build #0330 are:

    • [PVR] Rework CPVRActionListener and CPVRGUIActions lifecycle (PR:11919, 1 commit, 23 files changed)

At a guess, PR11919 would be the most likely culprit.

Since #0407 lirc changes remote key press registers twice

Can you provide a debug log and details/description of your remote control hardware?

I got the problem to occur when switching to 0408. (The remote control doublepress) when I went down to 0407 it went away.

My remote is an original microsoft RC6 remote on an Intel NUC using the built in ir receiver there. Can try to fix a debug log in the morning.
If my post helped you then there is a nice "Thank user" button on the bottom of the post.

In addition to the kodi debug log please also post the output of the following commands:

Code:
ir-keytable
journalctl -a | paste

Do you have lirc enabled in LibreELEC settings? If yes, run the following command, press a few keys and post the output:
Code:
irw /run/lirc/lircd.socket

Also try disabling lirc in LibreELEC settings. In most cases you don't need to run lircd, the kernel should support your IR receiver and handle MCE remotes out of the box. Still, if you enable lircd it should automatically disable kernel decoding so the logs will be useful to see if/what went wrong.

so long,

Hias
I have the same remote key press issue on my Chromebox with 0408 (Didn't try 0407), two really fast presses seem to occur.

I can't provide a log tonight but mine is the Harmony Touch set up as a Microsoft remote using the big old IR Microsoft dongle.
