6. Update 4.11-rc6: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2567575 - black screen, samba yes

The #0410x (4.11-rc6 kernel) build pre-dates the changes introduced in the #0418 (4.10.11 kernel) build which is when your system stopped working. It's possible changes in 4.11-rc6 have been backported to 4.10.11, and these changes have somehow broken your HDMI, but I'd expect this to be more widespread so that seems a little unlikely.

In addition, the 4.11-rc6 and 4.11-rc7 builds lack the media_build package that we bumped in 4.10.11 (and included in .4.11-rc8), so we can rule out the media_build package.

However Kodi (and Xorg) can't find a valid display, so Kodi fails with:
Code:
14:07:54.271 T:139709900728384 WARNING: CXRandR::Query - output HDMI1 has no current mode, assuming disconnected

Are you performing clean installs each time you install one of these test builds (ie. install LibreELEC 8.0.1 from disk image, then upgrade using a test build tar)? To be honest this shouldn't be necessary, but would ensure you are working from a known starting point.

Have you changed any BIOS configuration recently, or changed your hardware configuration in any way? Maybe try a different HDMI cable?

Other than a clean installation I don't know what else to suggest...

I find myself having to reboot the system once or twice to get it working. I've reverted back to 4/06 after trying several newer builds (haven't updated in awhile).

Please post logfiles when this happens:
Code:
dmesg | paste
journalctl -a | paste
systemctl status lircd.service | paste

Thanks for the logs! Please disable Lirc in LibreELEC settings, I'm quite sure this is causing your issues.

Weekly Linux 4.11.0 (FINAL) build #0501x: Generic

Same as #0501 but without the xf86-video-nvidia 375.39 driver which can't be updated for legal reasons (incompatible license). This build DOES include the xf86-video-nvidia-legacy 340.102 driver.

I'm not yet cutting over to 4.11.0 for regular builds while it is not possible to build a common kernel for RPi/RPi2/Generic. Once Nvidia push an updated 375.xx driver I'll make the switch.

Could you please upload logs from the working 0417 build as well?

Do you use the IR receiver built into your box or did you add an additional (USB) one? There's an error message in dmesg, the builtin nuvoton_cir receiver could not be initialized, so if you are using that this could be the cause of the issues.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. Yes, I am using the builtin IR receiver.

Sorry, still don't know. Your Intel HDMI GPU isn't being detected, for some reason. Maybe it's a BIOS issue, because if this were a kernel issue I'd expect more people to be complaining (and the only change between #0417/#0418 of note is a kernel bump).

Have you tried a clean install from LibreELEC 8.0.1 disk image, then upgrading to the latest test build? Make a backup of your data first.

Can you also upload a logfile zip from #0417 when using only the Intel GPU, ie. the logfiles from a working system.

In the last updates (since you did the BUMP screensaver.shadertoy I'm getting the next errors:
Code:

Is something I'm missing?

Thanks
@ferent update to the version in the add-ons folder (link at end of first post) however one of them - screensaver or visualization, can't remember - is crashing on x86_64.
