v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
flash/EFI/BOOT/syslinux.cfg

This should be in the * .tar file or on the HDD in the LibreElec?

Thank you for helping!

It's not in the tar, as it's created by the installer when you installed LE from the USB disk (8.0.2 in your case).

You'll also have /flash/syslinux.cfg, but which file is used by your system depends on whether you're booting with UEFI or legacy BIOS.

Please don't guess on this, if you don't know then post the information I've requested at the end of my last message.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
I apologize for the difficulties of the interpreter, my native Russian. Wink

Jesus... Sad

Try again in 24 hours @sboa, the pastebin site has exceeded its quota and isn't accepting your requests. You could try uploading the required information manually to pastebin.com but I think it will be better to wait.

New LibreELEC.tv Leia build #0709: Generic
(Supercedes previous build)

Code:

Linux NUC 4.11.9 #1 SMP Sun Jul 9 21:05:51 BST 2017 x86_64 GNU/Linux

# lsb_release

# Kodi version
(18.0-ALPHA1 Git:734cda1). Platform: Linux x86 64-bit

Based on tip of LibreELEC.tv master (b7dad370, changelog) and tip of XBMC master (2e3a1b30, changelog) with the following modifications: Build Highlights:
  1. initramfs: enable DNS if network is up

I see no change in the visualization.waveform source code since I last built it, but it's possible there's some build-time addon "magic" happening so I've pushed new builds again. If they don't work, you'll need to wait for the author to update the addon.

Just updated to this test build:
Code:
LibreELEC (Milhouse): devel-20170708221452-#0708-gb7dad37 [Build #0708]
(BTW, Thx for adding the Realtek PCIe SD-card reader driver into the kernel for booting LE).

Problem:
Samba server (LIBREELEC) does not appear in MAC OS Finder or Win 10 File Explorer.
Cannot connect manually either (using command line).

Workaround:
- SSH into LE
- Enter smbd reload

Now LIBREELEC will automatically appears in MacOS Finder and, in WIN 10 File Explorer, I can create a connection to LE.

In Kodi settings, SMB is enabled.
So it appears that SMB Daemon is not starting ?

Do you have a custom /storage/.config/samab.conf? If so remote it and reapply your changes to sample config as the Samba config has changed.

If updating your config doesn't work, or you're using the stock config, then please run "journalctl -a | pastebinit" and post the link.

I can't think of any other reason why smbd would be failing to start when it works for everyone else.

BTW I'm not sure "smbd reload" does what you think it does - "smbd any old shit" would probably work just as well.

No I do not have a custom samba.conf - just what ever the default stock config is.
Here's the pastebin link: http://sprunge.us/PKcH

You are right about "smbd" command. I can just enter it on it's own (without options) and it enables the SMB server and I can see LIBREELEC
Here's the pastebin AFTER running "smbd": http://sprunge.us/WDRZ
@macnb can you run "systemctl status smbd | pastebinit" (after a fresh boot, before running any "smbd" commands) and post the link.

For some reason on your system there seems to be some sort of dependency issue that doesn't exist on any of my systems:
Code:
Jul 10 18:50:14 LibreELEC systemd[1]: smbd.service: Job smbd.service/start failed with result 'dependency'.
Jul 10 18:50:14 LibreELEC samba-autoshare[800]: A dependency job for smbd.service failed. See 'journalctl -xe' for details.

Edit: This seems to be the issue:
Code:
Jul 10 18:50:14 LibreELEC systemd[1]: samba-config.service: Start request repeated too quickly.
Jul 10 18:50:14 LibreELEC systemd[1]: Failed to start Samba Configuration.
Jul 10 18:50:14 LibreELEC systemd[1]: Dependency failed for Samba SMB Daemon.
Jul 10 18:50:14 LibreELEC systemd[1]: smbd.service: Job smbd.service/start failed with result 'dependency'.
Do you have many extra drives attached to your system?
What's the output from:
Code:
systemctl list-units | grep udevil-mount | pastebinit
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Yeh I noticed the "dependency" error and tried googling re samba but not discovered anything yet.

Here's the pastebin of smbd status straight after boot: http://sprunge.us/gPKL

The only other drive attached is a SATA drive with Win10-Home in the system: http://sprunge.us/HXOh

Here's the output from df :

@macnb I'll include a change in tonight's build (due soon), please test and let me know if it's any better.
