v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
Problem with builds #812 to #822 on my Acer Revo RL100 (with Nvidia ION GPU). Maybe previous builds too (but did not try).
Does not play movies with VC1 codec. Just get a black screen.
Audio is present and so are subtitles.

Have you tried disabling Player > Videos > Adjust display refresh rate? Set it to "Off", it's currently broken with pretty much all Nvidia, and some AMD GPUs, no ETA on a fix.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Ah ha. Forgot about that.
Yes setting "Adjust display refresh rate" to OFF gets around the issue. Thx.

BTW, from the log file, I see "unsupported stream" warning:

How is that related to "Adjust refresh rate" setting ?
(2017-08-24, 01:49)macnb Wrote: How is that related to "Adjust refresh rate" setting ?

Not really sure. I don't know if it's limited to VC-1 or not.

Edit: Yes, it does seem to affect mainly (only?) VC-1 content. So you could leave "Adjust display refresh rate" enabled, so long as you don't watch any VC-1 content... There's a trac ticket for this issue.

resently. (Can't say exactly what build it started with yet) playback of recordings on VU Plus pvr client fails.

I get this error in the client. Just don't know if it is the libreelec build or the addon that is giving me the problems.
Getting it both on rpi3 and x86

Just tested a Nvidia GT430.

#0821 with driver 384.59 hangs when playing MPEG2 TS files and SD live TV.

#0823 with 384.69 works fine.

That's good to know, thanks. Surprising as there's no mention of it in the 384.69 driver release notes, but I'm not complaining! Smile

Running that video untouched it will play from start to finish.
Does the video still work fine for you when doing one or more skip backs?
The display freezes here, but the video plays on, even beyond its video length. All stops when pressing 'x' to stop the video.
Running MH#824/384.69 with a GT1030.

Can confirm the behavior.
Seems only to be an issue with MPEG-TS/MPEG2 video. Does not occur on the GT430 with other formats, not even MPEG-ES/MPEG2 or MPEG-TS/H.264.
I created a pull request for the XBox One Digital TV Tuner support Cool
https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/pull/1925

Furthermore i created a driver package for Kernel 4.12.8 (Current used kernel) using kernel-overlays. This addon can be used in the meantime.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tmwq9ndqile95s...2.zip?dl=0
Download and install the above addon and reboot. After the reboot the the tuner should be usable.
!! only usable with Kernel 4.12.8, this means you have to update to Testbuild with Kernel 4.12.8 ==> 0824!!
