v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
Oh sorry, I thought its a spelling mistake.
I try the #0908z and give feedback.

Thanks for the fast response Smile

i've got the same problems like Living Legend, tonyschulte and UrushibaraRuka.

Since #0905 the Kodi GUI is inoperable. Menu, Covers etc needs 3-5 Seconds to load and react.

The last good version is build #0904 Sad

Could be a problem with AMD APUs since the kernel update?

I've got an AMD E-350 APU and the others have got a AMD CPU too?

The newest #0908 have the same problem like Build #0905 - 0907

I had the same problem with AMD E-450 APU but #908z solves the problem!

Thank you very much
Good, thanks.

Build #0908z solves the problem.

Good job and thanks a lot! Smile

It includes updated llvm v5.0 (previous is v5.0-rc4) and is a clean build as the suspicion is that there may have been a problem with llvm/mesa in previous builds since #0905 due to a configuration/packaging issue.

ssh is also good for updating. Smile

Thumbs up. This worked with no issues.

Build Highlights:
  1. ** SAMBA CUSTOM CONFIG WARNING **
Apologies, hopefully this is the last change.

Due to ongoing issues with "my samba server is broken" when users upgrade to 8.2 Beta, we've now implemented a version check for any custom samba.config.

This does mean you'll need to reapply your changes to the latest samba.config.sample. Or simply replace the OpenELEC licence header with the LibreELEC licence header from samba.config.sample, and include the line "# samba.conf v4 (do not remove)", then your config should be OK.

If your custom samba.config is not considered valid you will see the following warning in "journalctl -a":
    Code:
WARNING: Ignoring user config /storage/.config/samba.conf due to incompatibility [reason]
where reason explains why the config is not valid.
  2. Clean build with llvm 5.0 and fixed config
Build Details:
  1. Additional commits/pull requests/changes not yet merged upstream:
    • Added: [env] PR:1950: build some more packages with fPIC
    • Added: [env] PR:1958: samba: validate samba user config and don't use if legacy or incompatible

Hi Milhouse
Did you think my issue can be solved by 909 Release ?

if no, what did you advice ?

@Milhouse,

Found that the XBox One dvb tuners now work with LibreElec 8.1.1.
Maybe I missed it, but are they allready working with your builds too?

Thanks
@rudrood not at the moment. It was decided to avoid including this patch in 4.13 as it's now been upstreamed and hopefully will appear in 4.14 where it will be maintained by the kernel developers rather than us having to retrofit the patch to a moving kernel target. The 4.12 kernel used by LE 8.2is basically stable so including the patch was less of a concern/burden.

It's going to take a bit of work to go through the differences between 4.11.x and 4.12-rc1, and identify which commit might possibly be the cause. It's on my list.

Where is the best place to report what, on the surface appears to be an Alsa audio broken pipe issue with kernel 4.13?
The bluetooth adapter in my Asus Chromebox (M004U) doesn't seem to work with the test build. Is this a known issue and if not, can I help in any way to get it working? I was interested in trying Leia to build a retro gaming platform along the normal Kodi usage.

Here. Post debug log (wiki) and "journalctl -a" (use a pastebin site). Explain how to reproduce. Provide sample files if necessary.

Upload the latest logfile zip archive from the Logfiles samba share.
