Quick question if I may,

Does this preclude any kind of TBS dvb tuners from working at all with current test builds that were using crazy cats's bundled drivers.

Pretty much, yes - the crazy cat drivers are not currently included in these builds.

Thanks, I don't know what any of this means but I'll mention this to my LE colleagues in case there's something that needs to be (re-)configured.

Apparently PR:2179 should fix this issue, but you'll need to wait until it merges and then for the LE9 Repository to be updated. LibreELEC does not include support for cgroups, which is the underlying issue.

I would suggest starting a thread on the LibreELEC forum - I'm not sure what state the lcdproc add-on is in with regard to Kodi 18a1. Post "journalctl -a | pastebinit" in your thread as that might include useful information. You should also include your lcd config.

With build #1110 my imon vfd is back to life again - thanks!

Thanks, although I've no idea what fixed it. The only obvious change in the last build is the new kernel but nothing stands out in the kernel changelog.

Starting with release #1005 we got some annoying image failure on non-interlaced content. When there is camera panning the picture is somehow split diagonally, looks like the the lower right part of the picture is "too slow".
Running AMD Kabini 5150 with VDPAU, issue is gone with software decoding. Interlaced content (e.g. Live TV) doesn't show this behaviour.

Sorry for reporting this late, was traveling a lot and had no time to find the exact release where this issue started. Of course also tested with the latest release, still there.

  • OpenGL: move away from fixed function pipeline (PR:12841, 25 commits, 75 files changed)
Your best option now would be to open a ticket on trac.kodi.tv for the attention of fernetmenta.
