v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)

(2017-11-11, 18:38)xen0x Wrote: Starting with release #1005 we got some annoying image failure on non-interlaced content. When there is camera panning the picture is somehow split diagonally, looks like the the lower right part of the picture is "too slow".
Running AMD Kabini 5150 with VDPAU, issue is gone with software decoding. Interlaced content (e.g. Live TV) doesn't show this behaviour.

Sorry for reporting this late, was traveling a lot and had no time to find the exact release where this issue started. Of course also tested with the latest release, still there.

Probably:
  • OpenGL: move away from fixed function pipeline (PR:12841, 25 commits, 75 files changed)
Your best option now would be to open a ticket on trac.kodi.tv for the attention of fernetmenta.

Would be my first guess too. Ticket created, thanks for the reply.

@Milhouse

Build #1112 / #1113 doubles the key on the remote (MCE RC6 Remote) , Build #1111 has not this effect

Did you read the replies to your previous post? It would save everyone asking you the same questions etc., and if you're a Harmony user you'll find the solution.

What make/model of remote control? And you've double checked LIRC isn't enabled?

If i enable Lirc on LE Settings, the effect is gone... thanks for input, but after reboot the effect was back.

Using this remote http://stuartconnections.com/products/Co...iption.htm Model Nr. RRS9002-86XXF
Can confirm different remote behaviour since build #1112 too (NUC KL).
Since i am harmony user, setting the command repeats to "0" (with build #1112 it was the first time i had to do this!), fixed it for me.
Hello Milhouse,

I am using your build 1107 and have a problem with my screen resolution / aspect ratio.
Before I was running a Ubuntu server 16.04 with Kodi, but because of Amazon I switched to your build.

My TV is set up at 1920x1080@50Hz. But when I watch PVR or recordings I have suddenly black bars, where before there were none.
As a workaround I have to set the black border reduction to 20% (which was never necessary). Even on programs which sends in 16:9.

I further noticed that while in a film I can reduce this behaviour for a moment when switching from 50 to 60 Hz. Then it works as expected, until I move to a different film.

Has anyone noticed this? Which kind of Logfile is necessary to show this problem? Or should I post screenshots?
Backend: Asrock N3150 with Ubuntu 22.04 Server with TvHeadend
Living Room: Nvidia Shield with Kodi
Other Kodi Clients: Coreelec, Mibox, Windows

Using this remote http://stuartconnections.com/products/Co...iption.htm Model Nr. RRS9002-86XXF

Disable Lirc again, reboot, then ssh in and stop kodi, eventlircd and xorg
Code:
systemctl stop kodi
systemctl stop eventlircd
systemctl stop xorg
After that run the following commands and post the output:
Code:
dmesg | paste
ir-keytable

Then run ir-keytable -t, press a button for a short time, wait a second or two, then press another button for a bit longer (1 or 2 seconds). Post the output you got on the console, it should look like that:
Code:
LibreELEC:~ # ir-keytable -t
Testing events. Please, press CTRL-C to abort.

1510656294.673637: event type EV_SYN(0x00).

1510656295.085430: event type EV_SYN(0x00).

After the test reboot to get back to normal.

BTW: If you want to use Lirc for now you have to disable ir-keytable configuration via this command - see also the Lirc section at the end of the wiki page https://wiki.libreelec.tv/infrared_remotes
Code:
: > /storage/.config/rc_maps.cfg
