Well that's a little disappointing if it's a Death Star window... Kodi should be using the force of the light side

Only work ac3/dts bitream and lpcm. But it is not enough for eg. Atmos or DTS:X.
I use last build #0105 and more another but unlucky.
My setup is zotac mi553 hdmi out or dp/hdmi adapter out. and Marantz nr1601.

Yes.
One more thank's Millhouse for you work !

My new receiver arrived, but ( it's normal Devil ) only passtrough ac3/dts work ( and DD+), any HD format don't work.

So, on my old reveiver NR1601 bitstream HD audio working, but on new SR6011 not.
The Netflix add-on and YouTube add-on is not selection the correct resolution 1080P that I have configured in the Inputstream Addon Setting.
When I play content it select the lowest resolution available instead of the 1080P resolution.
Below are the logs of my system.

I have low resolution when using Netflix. Do I have to customize the Netflix and/or the inputstream adaptive app? Or anything else? I only get 512x384 pixels.
Thanks.

Give it some time. After a while the stream will with adapt to your internet connection speed and show the resolution available (not everything is 1080p) with respect to a smooth stream.

@Ipaddle

I have it hard configured to 1080P.
How long do I need to wait because after 25 minutes it is still indicating that it is still playing on a lower resolution than 1080P.
I have a wired connection to my media center and I have a 200 Mbit internet connection.
If you have a look at the readme of the inputstream addon, it doesnt look like adaptive bitrate switching is already activated --> https://github.com/peak3d/inputstream.ad.../README.md .
So, if i understand correctly, once a stream is started, inputstream will identify your internet connection and 'save this' once.
If this doesnt work correctly, you could try to add '4000000' under 'Min.Bandwidth (Bit/s)'.

Netflix does not allow all available resolutions when using Linux (libreelec) in some cases.

For example, tv show "riverdale" should be available in 1080p, but shows in 480p when using the addon.
The latest alpha of the youtube plugin does fix 1080p inputstream adaptive Dash problem.

Everything I play in netflix shows 1080p for me...

These issues have little to do with milhouse's build though and the discussion should probably happen in their respective threads.

Indeed - this is not the Netflix or inputstream.addon support thread. Please contact the addon maintainers via Github, or start a dedicated thread.

I just confirmed this... I didn't notice the problem before testing after your post.

In Kodi nightly x64 on windows 10 it works perfectly, 1080p

In these builds it shows only 480p...

What could be cause the inconsistency?

Here is a log file that shows a netflix show playing properly at 1080p and then Riverdale which will only play at 480p

You may also find in this log the error I received when trying the libreelec log uploader first.

THIS is not the Netflix-Addon-Support-Thread!

Finally I just can repeat myself:

Your experience with Netflix is NOT caused by using experimental Milhouse-Builds!!
It‘s caused by Netflix itself in combination with using a Linux build.
For some cases - why ever - it does work.
For most, it doesn‘t.

Windows builds are not affected due to rights management.
I've just posted this in the RPi test thread:

"Netflix/Amazon/inputstream.adaptive/widevine/helper/resolution issues would be better handled in dedicated support threads, probably in Add-on support > Video Addons (there's already one there for the Amazon issue).

Please start dedicated threads per issue, otherwise we'll need to start moderating these test build threads and moving (or garbage binning) the OT Netflix/Amazon/inputstream/widevine/helper/resolution posts."

Thank you.
