Not sure why the "weight" is -0.000 - I tested it several times and the weight is usually a large number:

 Thanks for testing. Will have to live without fps switching on this system.
Don't want to whine, but I think the whitelist function seems to criple more than it brings. Before it was introduced framerate switching was working 100% on this system.
In my opinion it replaces a perfect, easy auto switching system with a method most "standard" users will have some problems to uderstand and make work.  
 The whitelist function has zero! absolutely zero to do with your broken refreshrate. Imagine it would switch - every 100 seconds you would have dropping audio ... fix the root cause, which is adding a proper modeline to xorg.conf - LE wiki has an articel about that.

Edit: Put content of: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Hx9gkpqBfW/ to /storage/.config/xorg.conf - I created that file years ago, afterwards post your Xorg.0.log and kodi.log then we see if it worked okayish.

See I colored yours in red. It's just not exact enough: 24 * 1000 / 1001 = 23.97602 ... 23.970 is not a really good match, but to be honest: I have seen worse :-)

Edit: I talked to lrusak, we will change the max allowed difference to 0.01 instead of 0.005 - then your red mode will switch too, but never the lese - the mode line I gave you is way more exact.

Also noticed that anytime I seek forwards/backwards during playback, the screen will go black for a split-second, I think to display the buffering overlay. This is a little jarring, especially when it happens on locally stored files, maybe it should only appear after some small delay?

Hello,

I have a problem with my MCE remote control. All of sudden it stoped working when I was in #0510 in the middle of the normal operation. The thing is that I tried the remote in the same notebook that I use to Libreelec in the Windows partition and it worked using the same USB port. I also tried another hard drive with libreelec that I used to use in the machine and it did not work, knowing that it worked before.

If anybody has a clue, please help.

When I select in the Display settings "Use limited color range (16-235)" the OSD/user interface remains at the same brightness. Why is this? I seem to recall this setting used to make also the interface darker/lighter. Now video content is correct but the interface remains too dark. Intel Haswell GPU.

I removed my advancedsettings.xml file and now it works. I'll check what setting in there causes this.

There is a big difference between picture and GUI brightness with video brightness/contrast at their default values.

Is it possible to use xorg.conf to enable limited range with Intel graphics? I found messages that indicate it's not available for Intel.

I tried command line with xrand and it worked, now GUI is at the correct brightness (I hope...). I just haven't got it to work inside autostart.sh, not sure why it's not working.

But now I'm confused why I need to use xrand to get the correct brightness. Why there is no LibreELEC GUI setting for it? Kodi's setting effect only Kodi's part, not the underlying Xorg parts? Or am I missing something?

 Please check kodi's wiki. I documented this some years ago, cause it is not trivial. In short only  the following settings make sense:

1) Xorg Full + Kodi Limited + TV Limited
2) Xorg Limited 16:235 (this scales(!)) + Kodi Full + TV Limited
3) Xorg Full + Kodi Full + TV Full
