v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
It looks like ffmpeg has encoders disabled (the vaapi ones would be nice to have).  At the moment recordings through tvheadend take up a ton of space as they are just using passthrough.  Here is the output of the encoders query, notice the disables at the end (overriding the enables earlier on).  Also, hi neil.

Yes, probably.

No idea, you'll need to contact the add-on maintainers.

(2018-06-27, 01:14)Jezze Wrote: Isnt that problem is at kodi side?

Maybe, maybe not. You haven't provided any details, such as a debug log (wiki), that might help answer that question.

No debug log (wiki), no problem.

You should install the ffmpeg-tools add-on, as this will include a full-fat ffmpeg binary (called ffmpegx).

looks like tvheadend doesn't support hwaccl'd transcode https://tvheadend.org/issues/3831

switched to use a postprocess script

bash:
/storage/.kodi/addons/tools.ffmpeg-tools/bin/ffmpegx -init_hw_device vaapi=foo:/dev/dri/renderD128 -hwaccel vaapi -hwaccel_output_format vaapi -hwaccel_device foo -i "${1}" -filter_hw_device foo -vf 'format=nv12|vaapi,hwupload' -c:v h264_vaapi "${1}.mkv" </dev/null 2>&1
mv "${1}.mkv" "${1}"
Me saying hi was poking fun at your build env leaking in the binaries built is all.

It's possible the master version of tvheadend supports transcoding, but I'm only building the 4.2.x release version for now. @cvh can probably explain what is happening with transcoding in tvheadend.

https://tvheadend.org/issues/4443

Your enquiry has triggered some discussion which may result in us dropping the ffmpeg command line from the LibreELEC image, as this is a limited version built only with the features Kodi requires, even though Kodi doesn't require the command line binary itself. This will avoid the name conflict with the "full fat" ffmpeg installed by ffmpeg-tools, which can stop using the name ffmpegx.

Ah right, yeah.

 Here is log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/bjQ9MbB5Ry/

Im not sure if i have banned addon but that is the only way how to test it. I think that problem is kodi side because all subtitle addons not working.

Edit: i downgraded to 0611 build and atleast subtitle search works with that version.
On my system subtitle search and download (OpenSubtitles) works fine with #0625 version. (Haven't yet installed #0626.)

How long do you need to send a PR for it?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
I'm sorry Fritsch, but I read that PR as if it was added to Libreelec. And thus available in the Libreelec repository.

Am I wrong?

Then all is fine - someone "only" needs to press the rebuild button :-) Sorry for confusion.

Yes, the addons need to be rebuilt for the Chrome change to become visible - I don't have any idea when that will happen.

Hi,

So I created a key with 8.2.5 using the creator software on mac. I copied 614c kernel/system files to the key but when it loads even the install is an oversized screen where you can't 80% dialog (way down bottom left corner) and the screen flashes pink and other colours.

Trying the install on a Cubi N 8GL, so J5005 gemini chip. Any info I can provide that helps just let me know.
