Update: found the Kodi.log, had to cut the end of, it was complaining it was too big!

Tried the Milhouse daily builds (Feb17-Feb25), this to fix the lost calibration settings on Libreelec, but my audio settings also goes fubar! Normally on my Chromebox, I have ALSA audio over HDMI, but with the Milhouse builds, audio locks into Bluetooth using PulseAudio, resulting in me loosing Audio, as the field is greyed/ghosted, and I cannot change!

Debug logs at: http://ix.io/1C3z

Politically correct this time...

Can you try #0225 with a "clean" .kodi folder just in case your settings in guisettings.xml have become corrupted or are in an otherwise unusable state?

Login with ssh and run the following to test:
text:

systemctl stop kodi
mv /storage/.kodi /storage/.kodi.bak
reboot

Test and confirm if your audio is now configured correctly (or that you can at least configure it correctly).

To restore your PulseAudio-only Kodi:
text:

systemctl stop kodi
rm -fr /storage/.kodi
mv /storage/.kodi.bak /storage/.kodi
reboot

This is with a clean install of LibreELEC 9.0.0 upgraded with your #0225. Those were the only 2 steps I did (we'll, I did screen calibration before rebooting from #0225 after adding debug mode).

You still want me to try it?

If you start with a clean #0225, do you have access to the audio settings _before_ you change screen calibration? What I mean is, out of the box, is your audio working before you make any other changes? And the audio only stops working _after_ you perform the screen calibration?

Can you compare #0226 with #0226b: Generic

#0226b is the same as #0226, but #0226b has PR15516 reverted.

Nope, there is never any audio after booting up on #225.

Can try #226/#226b tonight and let you know...

Update:
Did clean install of LibreELEC, did not change anything settings except for hostname (LibreELEC-CN65) and enabling SSH, rebooted to upgraded to #226/#226b (bluetooth/PulseAudio, greyed out so cannot change settings), enabled debug logging, and rebooted again.

well hello there, troubleshooting section of Kodi Chromebox wiki page...
Quote:No HDMI Audio on 2018/Kabylake Chromeboxes:
  • the snd_soc_skl audio driver is breaking things, so we need to blacklist it. Open up the 'configfiles' network share on your Chromebox, then the modprobe.d folder. If it doesn't already exist, create a new text file blacklist.conf and add the line 'blacklist snd_soc_skl' to it. Save and reboot the Chromebox.
