If I say have the following files

TVShow.S01E01.avi (300meg)
TVShow.S01E02.avi (300meg)
TVShow.S01E03.avi (300meg)
TVShow.S01E04.avi (300meg)

It seems to get confused on the number and only display one file which will look like this:

TVShow.S0.avi (1200meg)

My build is about 2 weeks old but I couldn't see any fixes listen on the change log

Disable stacking in the GUI preferences. This is not a linux-specific issue, it's a feature.

XBMC should not stack TV shows, have you set content on this source?
(see the manual for the terms if they don't ring a bell)

And you really should be using the Library Smile

Ah ok , sorry about that then. Never realised that was a feature.

So the next question is , what's meant to happen when you play the stacked file ?

For me it just gives some stuttered sound and no video.. which is why I thought this was a bug.

Please start by updating to the very latest SVN build of XBMC (google "T3CH XBMC") then make sure you set content "TV-Show" via the context-menu on that source (and select to use TheTVDB scraper).

When you enable stacking it should show and play all files that follows the stacking naming-convension as one, for example:

MovieName.CD1.avi
MovieName.CD1.avi
MovieName.part1.avi
MovieName.part2.avi

The OP thought this was a linux-specific bug. Since the stacked files don't actually play, might he be right?
