Depends. If you only change the package name, "make apk" is sufficient.
OTOH, if you change the app name fi, better start from scratch.

@Koying I want to release this version so that Sony TV owners can use extra features. Do you know any potential problem of releasing app with someones package name? Is is legally protected or something? I couldn't find anything on the Web.
