OS X Crash when opening a video folder.
#1
Hello.
I have a problem opening one folder with video clips. I have several folders that works perfectly, but when opening this particular folder KODI immediately crashes.

I had a look at the report and it seems to be related to the "BackgroundLoader"

Is there a way to find the culprit file somehow?

Don't know if it is appropriate to include the crash report or not, but if it is not, could an admin please remove it?

Post the debug log (wiki) - that should show you that your video database is corrupt. You need to delete it and rebuild it. Also never post logs directly but use pastebin.com and only put the link to it into the forum...

Was there any resolution to this problem? I've had the same problem where just opening a folder causes Kodi to crash. I can isolate it to particular files in different folders, but there doesn't seem to be anything unusual about the files. It only started happening since upgrading to Krypton.

If you can reproduce it post a debug log (wiki).
If it happens only with a specific file, can you also upload that somewhere.

This is the debug log I get after selecting the folder with the video file that causes Kodi to crash:

This is the crashreport which tells at least that it has to do with a corrupt database. Need the debug log (wiki) in addition to tell which one.

Remove addons20.db - if this is not enough - disable metadata/thumb extraction from video files...

Deleting addons20.db did nothing. Disabling metadata/thumb extraction does work, but is there any way of using it without crashing?

You have installed Banned add-ons (wiki), so no support for you.
