Or do I have to wait for an update? All the skins available for 17 are atrocious. I just want my Neon back.

I tried changing the xbmc.gui variable to 5.12.0 as in the other skins but it just gives me an error that says, "Add on could not be installed due to an invalid structure." and nothing more.

This "Add on could not be installed due to an invalid structure" message tells that the *.zip file does not have the valid structure. I guess you downloaded it from GitHub, so a skin_neon.zip is inside the *master*.zip. Extract the second *.zip file will solve the problem with the invalid structure message, but it is not working on KODI 17 as there were too many changes in KODI 17 so a complete rework might been neccessary for it.

Take it no one got Neon working yet on 17? Not sure if I want to upgrade.

I would definitely like to have this skin compatible with Kodi 17. I do have some general programming and html skill, but I'm not sure how big an endeavour it would be to update this skin.

Does anybody have any good tutorials for creating a skin? If it's fairly straightforward, I may be able to get this taken care of. If it's a larger undertaking, I won't have time for a few months at least.

In the meantime, I'm using BOX. It's not bad once the menus are de-cluttered, but still not as nice as neon imo.

I thought the default BOX home screens were too cluttered, so I went to Settings > Interface > Configure Skin > Home > Customize Home Menu.

I removed a bunch of the sub-items for Movies and TV Shows. I set the Menu Action for each of these to take me straight to my library so I don't have to go down to it on the main screen. I also set the first sub-item to be 'Recently Added'. I would have removed the widgets as well if doing so didn't remove the background fanart slideshow.

I also added custom menu items to take me to Weather, Settings, and the power menu without having to go down and then to the hidden left menu.
I changed the Theme to Mango, and I set 'Apply Theme to Background' in Settings > Interface > Configure Skin > General.

For my movie list I'm using the view 'Fanart'. 'Fanart Logo' is good as well, but I like to be able to see a few movies above/below the current one. I would like the list in 'Fanart' to be shorter/smaller.
For my TV show list, I'm using the view 'Fanart Logo'. For the list of seasons I'm using 'Poster' as with 'Fanart Logo' I can't see what is selected.

I wish I knew how to make the posters for the recently added items smaller and placed further down.
I would like to be able to set background images for my custom menu items - maybe even a weather widget that shows the current conditions/forecast.

wow nice .. didn't think it would happen. Tested it, made a few tweaks ... and except for the "change content" that was already broken ... working nicely. Tnx a lot !! Very curious what you all had to do to get it working.

I found something that is not working, or at least not here. When you're playing a video, and you go to the BSD menu (m on keyboard) .. that shows, but clicking or wanting to go into the sections (audio, video, ..) doesn't do anything.

Hi, i find that addon info is not showing corectly and make some changes in DialogAddonInfo.xml.
Just download file and copy to Neon 720p folder.
