Windowed mode to separate desktop
#1
MacOSX Sierra 10.12.3
Macbook Air 11 inch 2015
Kodi 17 RC3 build 20170111

I typically open Kodi in Windowed mode and then full screen it to its own desktop. This typically seldom works the first time. The kodi screen does not align with the laptop screen the first time. I have to switch back and forth to full screen to get this working correctly.

Not sure if someone has come across this issue.

I would actually like to open directly in full screen mode in its own desktop.

Any suggestions/solutions to the issue?

Thank you

I just saw/installed the final release 17.0 and have the same issue with it.

How exactly do you go to fullscreen or windowed mode?

In Kodi System Settings, Display Mode is set to Windowed.

Kodi starts in a mac OSx window. Then I click on the green maximize button at the top left of the window.

Try instead - go to kodi settings - system - display and set it to windowed. Ensure tht the window is windowed by the small green button in the title bar aswell. Now simply drag the window on the screen you want it and hit cmd + f

The green full screen button in the title bar is a mac os feature which influences with kodis own handling of screens...
