Is it possible to have more views on a custom movie category? I can only select List or Icon. Can I select Wrap info, List info or any other cool view like in the general "Movies" category?

The views available from your custom categories depends on the action selected for the category.
If your custom category enters the movie library, the same views will be available as the regular movies category.

Which action do you have for the category and which content (movies, add-ons, videos, music etc etc.)?

And one more thing: is it possible to select for startup window the "Movie" category?

It is now!

From Rapier 10.4.1 for Kodi Krypton and forward it's possible to completely reorder the home screen categories.
Go to Skin Settings > Home > Category Menu > Reorder Categories.
Category 1 will be the startup category. Remember to use all your categories, or some will be hidden.

2. Yeap, you are right on that on too! One more question: if you create a custom Category, how can you change the name, eg from "Custom 1" to "Blurays"?

You're right that the only views available for videos not scraped into the library are icon and list.
I might look into adding more views for video content at some point, but that's not a high priority.


If you haven't scraped the movies into the library, there's no additional info available - unless you use nfo files.

You could scrape all movies into your movie library, disable the regular Movies category and create 3 custom categories using smart playlists or video nodes.
Then you'll have all the info and views available for all movies and categories.
The only thing you'll lose doing this, are add-on shortcuts (if you use them?).

the name isn't changeable but the grafics.
down there is category pictures
one for focused, one for not focused - there are tons of ready for use pictures

It seems that the categories that I am creating are a bit higher than in the ones in Rapier (using futura stb bold). I am doing something wrong?

Have you bottom aligned them?

Yeah, exactly what I thought

You need to bottom align the images. Right now they are centered.

And remember to enter the text for the reflection as well.

I created your images in the other thread and added them to the skin folder as well.
