This is a libreelec device using a USB dac. Will chainging a dbmax setting in sound.conf work?

Not that I'm aware of. Isn't there a volume option on the speaker part of your setup?

The kodi device is in car audio setup. Kodi device > USB dac > amplifier.
Everything works fine but I have another device also hooked to the amp using Y adapters. The second device's volume is much lower than the kodi device. So I'd like to set the amps gain based on the quieter device and then put a volume limit on the kodi device.
