Are they both powered from the TV's USB ports? One may be giving a somewhat lower current than the other perhaps?

I am having the same problem.

I installed Kodi 17.4 on my firestick and with my LG TV, it does not work. It works fine with Kodi 17.3 with the HDMI port.

It works with a HDMI converter into a SCART port, but no sny of the HDMI ports.
