I do not see any rating. I understand your liking how the rating looks, but how about the option at least to make the ratings look like the other very popular skins?

Setting is here :

Gotcha, now there is my problem. Under "show media flags" I do not get any options as shown. I am going to assume I am missing another setting or dependency?
hi love this mod but when i set a custom background for entry like weather, or settings or any other entry on mainscreen it wont apply still have a blue background

Since this mod is currently a work in progress would you consider:

1) In the Library view in Movies, can you implement the use of thumbs 16:9? Currently, it uses the fanart. The thumbs 16:9 view also has the movie title in it already.
2) In the Home screen, can you implement pan and zoom on the backgrounds when we opt to use our own images, e.g. folders containing movie fanarts? maybe, have an an option in the skin settings for them to pan and zoom.

These are already in your eminence mod and arctic zephyr mod.

Thanks.

1) Thumbs 16x9 as fanart ? Resolution of thumbs 16x9 (1000x562 pixels) is not adapted to use them as fanarts.
I have added two views they use thumbs 16x9 for items but not for fanarts.

2) Not really understand what do you mean.

1) No, not thumbs 16:9 as fanarts. I mean't the library view currently uses fanarts as the viewtype. I'd like to see thumbs 16:9 as the viewtype.
2) When you go to: settings > skin settings > home menu > customize main menu > movies > select background > multi-image. When we select the images, can you make the images pan and zoom?

This is from your emeinence 2 mod:

Add support for Thumbs 16:9 with some views.
Add possibility to hide informations (titles/plots/logos) on some views

Yes media flags are png but you need to edit code to change size of resolution icon.

Your right, the right box is not a good solution.

I tried to look at the png but no luck.
Found Variables.xml, DialogPlayerProcessInfo.xml, 1080.png...... but just can't find my way...too bad. ;-)

png are located in media/flags/videoresolution

And code is in Includes.xml line 451

I have worked hard on this trying to get this done.
I first changed line 451 and it confirmed finally that I'm on the right file. Thank you.

From there I overwrite the 1080.png file with the 4k.png file so that a movie identified 1080 should show me 4k. This would have been my proof of concept that would allow me to continue my "personal challenge". ;-)
I even removed a movie from my library, Prune it (texturecache.py) and rescan again ...no luck ...

Found a confirmation in wiki about ListItem.VideoResolution variable.
Includes.xml make the variable appear on the screen but doesn't define it.
From there I searched for it.... grep -ir "ListItem.VideoResolution" ~/.kodi/* grrrr

I checked the next item in Includes : videocodec At least this one is not using a variable and it's directly pointing to a png file. I worked around those files.... no luck.
Are they cached or something ?

Anyhow, the 1080.png file doesn't have the "P" and not even the "HD" like on the screen,
where the &%#$ this is this coming from ? My understanding is that variable concatenate HD+1080+P ??
Is it possible that Includes.xml line "visible" is the 1080 and the previous line "texture" is the white box +HD + P ?
I'm taking a break here, my challenge is bigger then I thought. ;-)
( did I told you I'm new at this, but having fun )
I wonder what was the first step a guy like you have done to become a MOD guru?

On a side note :
I'm using texturecache.py from Milhouse making sure that my arts are cached. I have created a cron job a while back for this and when I add/remove/change my library it maintain the DB so my GUI performance is maximum.
If you don't know this fantastic tool check it here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=158373
Anyhow, it came to me to check if all those new arts coming from this MOD were cached. I did feel a little lag, but for sure handling so much more arts can reduced my GUI performance, cached or not.

Running "./texturecache.py nc movies" a while after I installed the MOD as showed me that all the newly MOD arts were cached and It is all good.
