I am not trying to be too difficult here (only a little), but you appear to have a double standard . Devs should use the official repo, but you are not hosting your add-ons in the 'official' repo. Also, the instructions on the first post of this thread reference several repos of the devs, as they are non-stable builds and should not be in the official repo.
Your addon only works on pre release code....
