Yes I did, and there seems no way to program it using Concordance or its frontend Congruity. I think the site has been changed since this software was written.

No, I am saying any old remote you have laying around should work just fine. If you have an old TV remote, VCR remote, or whatever. Try it.
Of course now that I read some of your later posts, reading the manual in advance might help too.

FYI, it appears there is an issue with older Flirc devices and some remotes. I happen to have this unlucky combination, my Flirc does not work with this Philips remote. It is confirmed by Flirc developers.
