I am running Kodi 17 on Ubuntu 14.04. My live tv and pvr addon for Kodi are the hdhomerun player and dvr. I have enabled closed caption parsing in System->Player->Language. When watching live tv with the hdhomerun player the closed captions work fine. When I record a tv program and try to view the closed captions/subtitles Kodi indicates that there are subtitles, but they do not display. If I run ccextractor on the file of the recorded program the subtitles are extracted and I can view them with the video. Any suggestions as to how to fix this. I don't want to run ccextractor on tv recordings that I make only for the purpose of time shifting. I did not have this problem with Kodi 16.
