Raspberry Pi install -
Changes made to skin settings are only good for the current session. They are not written to the corresponding /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/skin.<name>/settings.xml file on cold or hard boot. All directory/file permissions are set correctly.

Not shutting down correctly maybe?
Try...
- make some changes
- switch to a different skin
- switch back to your skin
- restart, see if changes have stuck.

trogggy - Definitely failing to save changes on shutdown. Settings persist ONLY when settings.xml is edited and saved by hand.

If switching skins (or refreshing the skin - same difference) doesn't do it either then it's not a shutdown problem - and I've no idea. You don't say whether you tried switching skin though.

trogggy - Switching/refreshing do not work. Only manual intervention works.

Then it's not the usual issue. I suggest you post on the osmc forum - they'll almost certainly want debug logs (showing you eg changing skin / shutting down - events that would normally save skin settings) - you could stick one up here at the same time, but i would have thought you're more likely to find the answer over there.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
