Download zip, unzip and move/copy the unzipped folder plugin.video.cbcnews into your addons directory.

zip can be loaded here:
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/krypton/pl...o.cbcnews/

the addon requires script.module.t1mlib, which can also be loaded here:
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/isengard/s...le.t1mlib/

it should work as low as Isengard.

Is there any difference in script.module.t1mlib-1.0.18.zip when downloaded from:

http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/isengard/s...le.t1mlib/ or http://mirrors.xbmc.org/addons/krypton/s...le.t1mlib/ ?

I am trying to run (test) plugin.video.cbcnews-3.0.2.zip on Jarvis (LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-7.0.3.img).

BTW, CBC.ca News (3.0.2) works great on Krypton (LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.0.0.img).

Thanks.

I don't think so. You may need to edit xbmc.python value in either or both the script and the add-on to 2.24.0 for Jarvis. Isengard doesn't seem to check that value in an unzipped add-on, I'm told Jarvis does.

That probably explains why I am getting the following error:

ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[plugin.video.cbcnews]: The dependency on xbmc.python version 2.25.0 could not be satisfied.

when trying to install on my Jarvis system (Python 2.7.11).

Thanks.

Yeah, that would be it.

You'll find the xbmc.python value in the addon.xml file, just change it to 2.24.0 with an editor.

Done and working perfectly on Jarvis now (no changes to script.module.t1mlib-1.0.18.zip required to install).

Thanks.

It may seem odd to folks that I explain how to run under Jarvis (or Isengard), but made the add-on run under a minimum of Krypton.
The reason is this is considered a "new" add-on (the name changed) and the lowest version that the kodi.org repo currently accepts for new add-ons is Krypton.
I don't think there will be any issue running the add-on under Isengard or Jarvis other than editing the xbmc.python value to 2.24.0 for Jarvis or 2.20.0 for Isengard.

Hi there,
I have it installed on Jarvis, but none of the links seem to be working. I'll have another play when I get time and post a log.
Thanks for the addon, great work.

Just installed it on Krypton on OSMC.

Everything looks reasonably solid. The dailly National updates are great, but the "Live" section only gives me an option for a webcam stream of a giraffe giving birth. Hmmmmmm.

So is CBC News no longer being live streamed for everyone, or am I missing something?
