Can confirm that after downloading and installing KB4016635, Kodi App will update through Windows Store just as it should.

Hi Folks,

unfortunately this error is due to an operating system bug. This issues was introduced with KB4013429 (servicing update 14393.953).

The bug has been fixed now, details and fix are available here:

The fix will also roll out broadly with the next serving update for all users. My apologies for the inconvenience.

In order to fix this issue you must apply the instructions provided by Microsoft engineers, as this issue is latest and no proper fix is available to get rid to Update Error Ox80070216.

Still got an error (0x80073CFE) when trying to update from the windows store, even though i got KB4016635 installed.

did you install the creators update (1703)? that could fix your problem also.
