We are back!

As for all the tasteless prank stuff, I'm gonna go ahead and just shrug that all off. We get told exactly the same thing every single year we do an April Fools joke. If these kinds of jokes were going to bite us in the ass, it would have happened half a decade ago.

It did give us some pretty valuable insight into 1) how pirate add-ons evidently have Kodi add-on dependencies, and 2) a startling number of people don't appear to realize that it's completely unnecessary to uninstall the old version of Kodi.

I thought it was inspired. An absolute stroke of genius.

I think it was funny and harmless, unless for those who leech the Kodi community by selling pirate boxes and live off of clicks on youtube/websites. Those woke up with a major problem, and it was good so. I mean, didn't we all see the videos on Youtube, ranting about how "Kodi is dead", bla bla, "buy this or that vpn"? LOL!

Besides, it is OK to be without a website for a day. It was just a day, those who were mad should consider it a sort of "digital detox". Seems like for the most of us the walls of reality crumble when the Kodi website is offline. There's a life beyond your living room, and all the disgruntled should have enjoyed the day and go for a walk, a bike ride, a beer with friends maybe, instead of thinking the Kodipocalypse had arrived.

I also liked the the rickroll link. LMAO

Keep up with the amazing job guys!

Yeah, I missed reading the forum a bit. But instead I entertained myself watching all the scaremongers on Youtube and Twitter spouting even more rubbish than they normally do. I am looking at you Solo Man.

I am disappointed more than anything.

I personally think it was a great way to get peoples attention. The keyboard commandos on YouTube went nuts over it. If they would only realize that the piracy addons they promote are the cause of all the attention that Kodi is getting in the news they would stop. I like the new look and hope for the best in the future for all of the people involved who put so much time and work into this. And for the cry baby's who said that they lost their use of Kodi because they deleted it to install a update what ever happened to backing up your build before updating.

I thought the Tom Brady April Fools joke was great! Strange that last night they had to put out a story stating "it's a joke". Like The Bills would really set themselves up to literally have a 1 man team for the next 5 years. Millions of fools believed it!

Yesterday was evidently a good day to do site maintenance, a couple of other of my frequently used sites were down.

I didn't have any problem at all, I watched Kodi all day. First I knew about it was reading frantic posts on other sites "tell me it ain't true, Joe".

I thought the pornhub one was the best.

Pornhub was the clear winner. Though I'm not sure if my favorite part was the fear it inspired in people or the fact that so many read that pornhub had shared what they watched, saw it wasn't true, and then publicly said, "I just watched pornhub " via acknowledging on twitter that they'd been got.

Can someone please put up clear instructions for the ludites among us, we're not all hackers and coders, most of us simpletons rely on youtube for a step by step guide to install Kodi, i nearly smashed my 65" 4k last night with frustration, then realized its not panasonics fault. Ive read snippets here that we no longer load kodi from the website, although as pointed out if on a tablet/phone/computer you can, but those using firesticks without pointer remotes are unable to select android. Ive heard playstore mentioned but then next post says amazon doesn't allow playstore installation, ive heard something about mirrors? And something about an .apk file.
Would it really be hard for one of you wiazards to post an idiots guide for firestick users, really can't believe this is not being considered more important, perhaps im a small minority or perhaps its an age thing

You don't install kodi on your Panasonic TV. That is probably our first problem.

There are no official kodi guides on youtube, so mistake number two.

I guess from your cryptic post that you are trying to install kodi on a firetv or firestick.

Basically you need this file: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/android/...bi-v7a.apk

I would assume there is some way to download such file on a firetv/stick. If not looking at ES File explorer that it will download from another computer on your LAN. So download it on your PC, then get it onto your firething.
