6. Click and drag scroll bar to the top of page
7. Ok, there's one of those stupid hamburger icons at the top left of the page. Maybe that's a menu icon. Why does it take up so much space on the screen? Meh I'll click it.
8. Woah, the menu takes up half the screen

You say "This is written from a Desktop's perspective, with keyboard and mouse" so I don't get the above comments at all, as it's a responsive design that changes layout dependant on the device you are viewing on, you should only get the hamburger menu on a mobile device wheres on a desktop you should get:

As you see on a desktop the menu options are all plainly visible along the top.

What device and browser are you using?

I was wondering whether the forum is currently supposed to be http accessible only or if there really is a server outage there. If I try to access https://forum.kodi.tv I just get a web server is down error from cloudflare. Entering my forum username and password over http does not seem like a good idea.

We have never had https over the forum, this isn't recent.
I agree it is not the way to go, but the current forum software is old and the modules break quite badly when we enforce https.

We are working on migrating the forum to another host and upgrading it at the same time. This was scheduled to happen during the same moment as the main website but we ran into some issues and a delay was incurred. When we migrate the forum to the new host and upgrade it, it will be https only.

You talked about the added features, but what about the ones removed? I miss the blog's RSS feed (hence the late reply) :'( can we please have it back?

We are looking into improving the feed so it shows the full data again. This will likely take a bit of time.

A Note on Development and other XBMC Foundation-related News
The only place to receive official news from Team XBMC/Kodi and the XBMC Foundation regarding Kodi development is via kodi.tv. There are numerous great fan-created and even team member-created sites out there that also focus on providing XBMC-related content and info. These other sites should be considered unofficial and do not represent the XBMC Foundation or Team XBMC/Kodi. If you are uncertain as to whether a piece of news is official, don’t hesitate to email -->Contact AT kodi.tv.<--This one
"Change address to contact@kodi.tv."

And just below where it says
Kodi (formerly XBMC) is a free and open source media player application developed by the XBMC/Kodi Foundation

you could make the Kodi logo on the left go to https://kodi.tv i personally like when i can click logo's to go to front page.
Because as one member argument-ed "To much scrolling" so by making the logo into a link, he does not have to hit back or scroll to the top again to access drop down bar

You could also at some point make a arrow that follows your scrolling, that will take you to the top when clicked.
All of this is ofc just micro management of the new great web ui.

And still at the same page at the bottom, some small changes

I just saw you changed the e-mail contact line to
you may contact us at contact[at]kodi[dot]tv.

I think you did this on purpose, and the only reason i can think of why you did that is because of spam-bots "sniffing" web-pages for e-mail addresses so my request at the top to change email contact is wrong, again its prob to avoid spam-bots "sniffing" around.

Thank You

1.) Changed
2.) That's planned but hasn't been finished for the launch
3.) Will also change, every decent spambot will capture that...

This is just micro management, and for the common user boring to read so if your a common user skip this post.

On most pages you seem to have the same info and double links, seems a bit excessive
Visit our --->contribute<---- "goes to same place as the BIG BLUE BUTTON" page for all the other ways you can help.
Other ways to help "BIG BLUE BUTTON"
https://kodi.tv/get-involved

Show your support
Click here to --->donate<--- "again link goes to donate page and you have the BIG BLUE BUTTON just below"
https://kodi.tv/contribute/donate

And you have the above info on most pages, and ofc the donate page Big Grin

Other then that all links work, i had hoped i could find a spelling error somewhere, so i could flash it in BIG BLUE NEON, because of all the flaming i received for my spelling and composition, when i first got here, but alas no go.

Only things i can point out are "the internet" well in the UK its spelled like that, in the USA you spell it "the Internet" but both ways are accepted.
And "organise" is spelled that way on the new UI but Martijn Kaijser spells it "organize" and both are accepted, again its UK vs USA spelling Big Grin
and the last "email" vs "e-mail" both are acceptable darn i had so hoped i could find a spelling buff or two. Big Grin
All this is micro management and has no baring on the performance or use of the new great UI
Thank you
ohh last thing
interest@kodi.tv is used for email contact on several pages
and on other pages its contact@kodi.tv
for the same thing or to apply for this and that?

@kimkl if you keep posting nonsensical rubbish it will go to the bin.
If I have helped you or increased your knowledge, click the 'thumbs up' button to give thanks :) (People with less than 20 posts won't see the "thumbs up" button.)

I am not sure what you mean about rubbish, i was trying to explain that on most of the new webside say downloads, about, software, and so on you have links in the text "lets say get involved" but just below the big blue button also says get involved so i was just saying that it seemed a bit much to use the same links both in text and then blue button, and then i said that on most webpages you have the same info like downloads you have get involved you have donation and so on this is the same for the others pages but since you have dedicated donate and get involved pages is it necessary to mention these things on every other page.

But i see my attempt to be helpful is totally wasted, because no matter what i do or say, forget it your house your rules,
But it just feels annoying, like when i was the one that found out a month after 17 beta was released and there was a problem with the installing that you could just make the temp folder by yourself, did i get credit or a pat on the back nope "was not looking for it" but then in the later release it was written that you could just make the temp folder yourself.

My prob with that is it was written as if it was discovered by the "TK", okay i can live with that.
But when i now try and help out again, English is not my native language it says so in my tagline so it was hard to explain that you had the same info on all pages, even though you also had dedicated once, and instead of asking my meaning i get rubbish.

Yes i can see its hard to reads my meaning, but i was trying to help.
But seems the page you have on the new UI is just "smoke" the one saying how to get involved by helping out in forum.

If you go back some pages you will see i was right about some stuff and how to fix it like changing http://kodi.tv to https://kodi.tv and voila link works.
Do i sound mad yea a bit, i am trying to help out keep the off topic to a "REAL minimum" but seems i can't get a break.

Okay less mad now, and i do not care about getting credit every time my "fixes" turn out to be right, but i needed something to show you that yes i clown around a lot but i also try to help out.

This is not just pointing fingers at you nickr your a descent fellow but you were just in line of fire.
ill keep the rubbish to a minimum
Thank you
