Hello Kodi People. First off, I do like Kodi very much. Secondly...however, it will not open. As previous comments have stated, the new version notification came up when I opened the older version, so I followed the prompts and downloaded the new version aaaaand bupkiss. I uninstalled kodi, waited then redownloaded again, restarted computer aaaaand still bupkiss... Am at a loss as to what to do...

Open Explorer in Windows (Windowskey + E) and paste in %AppData%\Kodi\userdata\Database in the top field.
Find the file called Addons27.db and delete it.

Hey all, I have been all over the forums since yesterday, I have deleted the addons27 as suggested but now i am getting an error stating "unable to create application" when the installation wizard is finished. I am running windows 10 and was upgrading from Jarvis 16.2 to krypton 17.1, i have also completed all windows updates as others have suggested and i still cannot open kodi, can someone provide any further assistance? do not have debug log as have not been able to get into kodi.
