You will need at least OS X 10.8 to run Kodi 17 or higher.

Maybe http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=311058 is the solution.
If it doesn't solve your issue, post a Debug log (wiki).

I have the same problem with kodi 17.1 on my MacBook Air - I'm running OS X 10.10.5
I get message " The last time you opened Kodi it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows "
when I try to reopen I get message " Kodi unexpectedly quit " and 3 options Ignore,Report or Reopen
Any suggestions on what to do please.
I've now got exactly the same problem with my iMac, I updated my OS X to 10.12.4 Sierra, installed kodi 17.1 Krypton from Jarvis and got
the same error message that I got on my MacBook Air, lucky a kept the old Jarvis install and this is running OK.
Help, surely this must be a problem unique to 17.1?
I'm not very technical so would appreciate a idiots guide type reply.

I just tried it now and came unstuck at step 7. There is no folder in Application Support called Kodi or XBMC.

As in your link the error was [Addons27.db]. I have searched the computer and can not find a file with that name.

Thanks for you help on this.

Is it possible that someone could post screenshots/video of the steps to fix this issue? I apologize if it seems like a bit much but a step 7 of the most recent "solution" I get stuck and don't really know where to go.

Thanks

b7000 - it's not solved for me in that post. As mentioned above, there is no folder in Application Support called Kodi or XBMC.

Any other suggestions?
