Hi,

I removed Kodi as I got a message saying it needed upgrading and wouldn't work properly without having version 17. Once I removed the old version I tried downloading and installing the latest, but it won't install. I keep getting a message saying it quit unexpectedly. I've posted the error message I get at the link below.

Any suggestions on what the problem is would be very welcome!

This isn't a Debug log (wiki), it's a crash report.
Maybe http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=311058 solves your issue.
If this doesn't help post a Debug log (wiki).

Thanks for the reply. I think I've reached the limits of my technical knowledge!

I'm sure I have missed something, but from this link http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy it looks like you need to open Kodi to get a debug log. But I can't install it in the first place.

Also thanks for the link above, but I am not sure how to follow those step by step instructions. For example I'm not sure what the console or terminal apps are.

Any other suggestions for the a more basic user?!

Kodi Krypton wont run when installed just says quit unexpectedly. Jarvis work perfect but it said I had to upgrade now I can't get it to even run

We never post messages that you need to update kodi or it will stop working. You are using some of those loaded builds or "special" addons - do you?
