I have Windows 7 SP3 and when I updated from Kodi 16 to Kodi 17.1 I a platform update was installed, kb2670838

Even since that I have noticed that black in videos now looks grey.

I reinstalled Kodi 16. Same issue

Reinstalled my video drivers 8470D. Same issue.

The videos plays at the normal brightness in Media Player Classic

I removed the platform update not only does 17.1 still work, the brightness is back to normal.

Issue solved I guess, but do I need that update for anything and has anyone else experienced this issue?
