I have in a folder movies without sub folders for the single movies. How could I make tMM automatically create a folder for each movie and get all of the single movies including their fan-art, covers, images, info files into the new folders?

For example:


Create a folder for Walkabout (1971).avi and a folder for Warcraft - The Beginning (2016).mkv including all of their files being scraped / created already and move to the new folders.

The folder Walkabout (1971) would then contain these files:

Just use the renamer on the movies.
Luckily, moving into own folder is already the default setting
But to match your naming preferences, just check the renamer settings & preview (especially the folder rename settings)

How could I keep the titles like they are?

I want to do this action for some thousands of movies so I could not check each single movie.

Well, there's nothing wrong here:
Since you don't specify a file renaming pattern, the filenames stay as they are (as see in last picture)
However, they are moved into folder "Magnum Heat (1972)"
Looks correct to me.

Yes, although the file name is "Hickey & Boggs (1972)". So this is correct? It is as it should be?

Is there a way to let tMM always create a folder with the same name like the file name?

well... we have the filename... "Hickey & Boggs"
but you overrided this and scraped this movie as title="Magnum Heat"
And you renamed the folder according to your scraped title (while keeping the filename intact)

You could either... fix your title;
or use the original title for that (which might have been scraped/edited to "Hickey & Boggs")... and use this in renamer - $O
It's up to you, what you want to archieve....

Well...well...actually I didn't override and rename anything, I would say.

Yes, indeed, a great idea, doing it for a single movie it might work. There are thousands of movies for which I want to have done it, so it would be good, if tMM could do automatically..

It's up to you, what you want to archieve....

We use the file/folder name ONLY as initial listing or for scraping.
But when the scraper returns another name for that, you have to decide, what you want....

Either that, or use *any* other tool to just move files into folders...

It was renamed like the screen shot shows above. So if the title now is a / the alternative title and I use $T the already existing title will be replaced with the original title and if the title is the original title and I use $O it will be replaced with the an alternative title, is that right? So there is no way to keep each file name like it is? Would it be good to use both the original and alternative title in the folder name?

Would it matter if a title would change when tMM moves each movie to a single folder?
