Win can't install Kodi 17.3
#1
Sad
I am having a terrible time installing Krypton 17.3. I have Jarvis 16.1 and would like to upgrade. When I download the the file ans save it, when I try to install it, a screen pops up telling me I don't have some security update from Windows. When I click ok, it takes me to that page to download the update, but my laptop is already up to date. Funny thing is, I did have Krypton installed and thought it wasn't working properly, so I uninstalled it to try and start from scratch, but can't seem to re-install it. HELP! I don't like the older version and I really miss using this!

Do you still have a kodi subfolder in the %appdata% folder?
Delete/rename that first, and try to install Kodi again.

If it's a windows 7 installation and a problem with KB2670838 Win7 x64

I think @Klojum is trying to say to type this %APPDATA%\Kodi in your search and make sure it's deleted.
