Running on LibreElec or Dedicated Pi OR VM?
#1
Hi everyone

I had a perfect set up running TVHeadend running on my HP microserver which had Xpenology on it (synology) Since upgrading to 6.x, the drivers are not included for my 292USB tuner, so i now would like to find out which method is best to get TVHeadend running

Am i best to get a new pi and running it on its own hardware?
OR
Shall i run it on a dedicated PI?
OR
Run it on a VM?

Thanks
Nick

You will most likely just bump into problems if you try to use USB tuners inside a VM. Your best bet is to either install Ubuntu or a similar Linux distribution on your server, or get a separate Raspberry Pi or similar and run it there.
