Linux problem with hardware setup - linux compatibility
#1
hi everyone, my problem is a bit more specific than the thread title, i tried to search the forum but didnt find anything. i'll try to explain:

i have KODI16 on a rpi3 and it always worked fine at 1080p except with some audio/video format (probably h265) so i decided to put kodi on my small server with this hardware
- mobo ASRock AD2550-ITX with Intel Atom 4x1.86Ghz
- 4GB RAM
- Arch Linux OS
- various HD for local storage and USB or NAS devices

My problem is that my CPU has a PowerVR Integrated GPU which has no driver support for linux, and kodi on it cannot run even 720p without problems... Now i'm terrified that my next mobo will have the same problem... so what i'm asking is, what is a good motherboard with mini-itx form factor which can play all 1080p without problems and have drivers compatible with linux? what hardware can you recommend for a linux HTPC based on your experiences? i prefer something fanless, but i dont care about play particular audio format, i just want to download a 1080p movie and watch it on my htpc without problems.
