In Kodi 16 I remember I found an option to skip the channel info screen while selecting a TV-channel from within the TV-channel browser.
I lost this selection after I lost the configuration due to a corruption after a crash.
In Kodi 16 I have not found this option back again, and currently I'm on Kodi 17.
Wondering if this option still exist in Kodi 17, and where to find it?

For the TV Guide I did find a similar option:
Settings > PVR & Live TV > Guide >
change from 'Show information' to 'Switch to channel'

Edit (2017-04-27): Found the option!!!

Settings > PVR & Live TV settings > Playback > Start playback minimised > DISABLE

If you haven't already, change settings from 'Basic' to 'Advanced' you should then get some options under Menu/OSD in the 'Settings/PVR & Live TV' section which might do what you want.

Thanks for your reply. I have already 'Advanced' selected, but don't see the option I'm looking for.
I would indeed expect the option in Settings > PVR & Live TV > Menu/OSD.

Try Expert instead, the setting is definitely still there somewhere.

Switched to Expert, but haven't found the setting yet. (will keep looking..)

Hi VBox,

Thanks for posting a screenshot. Will do the same to clarify the option I'm looking for.
The option you point at hides the information while zapping through channels.

The option I'm looking for is to skip step 3 from below.

1. Selecting the TV menu.
   
2. Scrolling to a TV channel.
   
3. Selecting a TV channel (first time)
   
4. Selecting the TV channel again to get the channel fully displayed.
