I genuinely don't want to be involved in this conversation, but I am curious to know why you think pre-installing the wizard to install the addons is any better than just installing the addons?

... add the wizard, and also prominently advertise the wizard's existence, and the fact that its execution will enable "hundreds" of the best 'streaming addons for Kodi'. It's a custom wizard that was tailor made to order for xmedex, by the way. I can document that fact, as well, should the dear shill request it.

Perhaps the shill from xmedex would like me to link/screengrab one of the dozens and dozens of word vomit ads containing these facts?

It's a ploy to maneuver around the legalities of marketing such a thing, while still preserving the business incentives of packaging and promoting it.

And I'd love a C&D personally, not that an anonymous shill in Australia could ever deliver one to me.

I'm known to laugh at them and make abstract art of their parchment.

I do not think that at all Blush

@shomari - It was a rhetorical question, as i know where you downloaded it from (not from our servers).

I have one request for you. Open the android settings on your device, and click on the 'apps' button. Then click on "XMedia Center", and take a photo of the app screen (where it has the option of 'uninstall', 'clear cache' etc).

The name of the app you have installed, will be called something along the lines of 'XMedia Center - SuperMax MOD'. If you do not comprehend this, it simply means 'XMedia Center modified by supermax'. I hope this will help you rest with ease, in regards to your investigation. If it does not, then i wish you well in your quest.

Anyone who has purchased a device from XMEDEX will not have a 'supermax mod' version of our app inside - it is not apart of our firmware, which is freely available for download. The version of the app which you have installed is a modified one, by a third party, which you downloaded from the supermax forums - not from an XMEDEX server.

Case closed, mate. Nod

... and droidworld is also in Australia, has no presence online but with xmedex products and is tailored specifically for xmedex products.

Just who do you think you're fooling with this charade of deniability?

Your most strident assertions have been contradicted by your very own 'xmedex associate', as mo123 is titled on your own webpage.

You can post screens all day, your sleight of hand is obvious to any observer.

Alright, I'm closing this. Please, what appear to be personal vendettas don't go in the forum.

Direct from the droidWORLD page...

Quote:Configuring the KODI Media Center with third party add-ons can be a tough task for most users.
Fortunately though there are plenty of Kodi Addon Installers available on the market.
We think that the SuperMax Wizard for KODI is the Best Auto-Installer Wizard available, due to its vast amount of features.
The SuperMax Wizard can instantly configure your device with the best Kodi third-party add-ons, features & custom UI.
Over 150+ Add-ons / Apps can be installed and configured onto your device with one click of a button.
And from the Supermax Help forums:

Quote:Can anyone give me some advice, Since new and in installing SuperMaxWizard I get a Specto Fork error, Every time I highlight Music it tells me to install YouTude addon which won't install and I am unable to install most addons Sports Devil
And...

Quote:Blew away SuperMaxWizard, and re-installed, that fixed the problems with addons, but I still have Specto Fork error each time I open SuperMaxWizard

No doubt if I looked further I would find more. Ebay is full of "Fully Loaded" droidWORLD Hardware.

Its quite clear that droidWORLD, actually encourage Kodi Piracy thru the installation of this SuperMaxWizard - it does not get much clearer than giving out instructions on their own Website.

What a shameful, disgusting Australian company. Sad

Droidworld is the sole xmedex distributor. I would be more inclined to believe the slight degrees of separation are real and not a technical analog of shell corporations and swiss bank accounts if xmedex had any other distributors at all, but I haven't seen any.

They all work together.

All the droidworld word vomit listings mention 'we've partnered with xmedex' ... that's instructive and more than just coincidental or anecdotal when viewed in context.

But I've said more than enough, so I relent.

So the Dilema for Xmedex and their associates:

We now know that droidWORLD present themselves as "Australia’s most reputable & trusted Android TV Box Retailer." Yet they provide easy instructions to install a Wizard that then install hundreds of Banned Kodi Pirate addons into Xmedex Software on Xmedex Xtreme Hardware they sell.

Products on droidWORLD's own webpages include Google Webcrawler search Term such as "fully loaded kodi" "kodi fully loaded tv box" etc.
droidWORLD know exactly what they are doing to attract potential customers eyeballs.

From droidWORLD:

Quote:The XMEDEX XTREME Plus is one of our premium range devices.
XMEDEX is an Australian company whom specialise in high performance devices. When you buy an XMEDEX branded device, you know you are buying quality.
DROIDWORLD is an authorized dealer/re-seller & distributor of XMEDEX products.

Xmedex have full control over whom they certify as authorized dealers/re-sellers & distributor of XMEDEX products. Both companies have their business Headquartered in the same country too.

Now that the Xmedex team have been made aware of droidWORLD's shady business practices, the question for them is do they want to continue to be associated with such a Pirate facilitation business that causes harm to the Kodi name ?

The Xmedex team will continue to be smeared in droidWORLD crap unless they publicly distance themselves from that company all together.
And the real question is how much is it going to cost them to actually do that ?
