Need help making a .strm file from an rtmp stream
#1
I use URL Helper to get the stream url, it shows up like this:

rtmp://75.126.73.24/flash<playpath>19826?MTQ5NTY5ODExMTs3NDY4NmZiZWY4NDIyY2FhZTJhZDE5NmVhNWFiYTNhMA== <swfUrl>http://static3.sawlive.tv/player.swf <pageUrl>http://www3.sawlive.tv/embed/watch/VjZTQ1MDUzNTlmZDhkNmNmYmY0MjMwNjo0ZDU0NTEzNTRlNTQ1OTM1NGY0NDQ1Nzg0ZDUxM2QzZA__/bGFncDczejoxZmUxODAyNWQ4ZmY3M2NhYmExNzUxY2U3OTdlNGYyNTo2ZGYxYjlmYW

I copy and past that into Notepad and save it as a .strm file. I can find it in Plex but it won't open. I can't find it in Kodi. How do I fix this file?

From what I can see, that address has been removed and no longer valid.

It was a baseball game, it's since ended, but it hadn't at the time I'd tried it.

I was able to watch the game on Internet Explorer. I used URL Helper to get the URL while I was watching it. I made the file and tried to play it while the game was still on Internet Explorer, but it didn't play in Kodi.

This is the stream today, it will be live for about two more hours. I can't get it to play as an .strm file, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

rtmp://75.126.0.212/flash<playpath>19824?MTQ5NjAxMjM5OTs0NDZiODIxZmU2ZTA0ZTNhMGFjZmFmNzNiNmY2ZDRmOQ== <swfUrl>http://static3.sawlive.tv/player.swf <pageUrl>http://www3.sawlive.tv/embed/watch/FlY2JjOWQzYmIxYTFmYjkyNGFiMzE2ZDo0ZDU0NTEzNTRlNmE0MTc4NGQ2YTRkMzU0ZjQxM2QzZA__/bGFnMzJ5bTphZWI2NzJhMmIzMjk5ZDA4NmY0YjU5NDdmY2Q1NzkzNjo3MDA4MzllN2

How about a debug log (wiki)?

it's probably the = that screws things up. i assume you aren't including those html tags in the url, it should be plain playpath=.. swfUrl=.. pageUrl=.. etc.

also you probably need to install / enable the rtmp input stream add-on. the default ffmpeg based rtmp support is rather shaky.
