hello, I have 2 nvidia shield tv devices and several fire tv sticks, all of them now are running kodi 17.3, I have use a seagate personal cloud NAS for more than a year without a problem, but since Kodi 17 arrived I am able to see the files I already shared with kodi, but I bought a new fire tv stick and I cant achieve to add any file on SMB format, I keep getting error2 share not possible or something like that. Is there any way to fix the issue?

SMB/Windows (wiki) and File sharing (wiki) might be an issue with the new firestick or http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=308054 related. You might have better luck with this post in the Android section, I'll move this post along, failing a solution that works

This solution worked for me a while back:

Add network location > Protocol = Windows SMB > Server Name = IP address of the server PLUS then put :445 on the end (this is the SMB TCP Port Number) >
example> 192.168.1.1:445

Usernames and password may be required.

Then select the smb://ip.address.of.server from the list again to add your shares.
