Kodi 17.3

I have added (upgraded (previously 16.1), deleted, added) kodi to 17.3. The Kodi icon now appears on the recent used on the home page. But Kodi does not work. When I click on the Kodi iconon the home page I get the following page

The following list appears vertically
Movies
TV Shows
TV
Add-Ons
Pictures
Videos

In the center of the page is have 2 options for each item on the left
Enter Files Section Remove this main menu item

I cannot get to the screen where I would see on the bottom
MOVIES TV SYSTEM TV GUIDE etc

I only want to use Kodi for Movies and TV reruns.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
