/EDIT: SOLVED. Problem was with TMDB not with the MySQL database.



Hello Community,

I recently moved my Database to my WD NAS with Mysql installed.
Everything seems to work on both my clients. All movies with covers and info are shown and my personal ratings and playback points work fine on both clients.

However, I have no information about the movie actors anymore. All I see is msg showing "forecast not available?" and there is no actors information during playback as well.

So I set up a completely new database with only one movie just to check if there was a problem during import. But it's the same issue. Everything works fine despite the actor information

I searched the Forums, found lots and lots of posts about mysql but not really one with an issues like this. Did I forgot something during my setup?

I have no idea if this might be the problem but it is recommended in the wiki "Grab version 5.5.42, there are issues with newer versions". Perhaps this might be the problem? Just a shot in the dark....

Great. I have 5.5.55 installed on the WD My Cloud running Debian.

And I have absolutely no idea how to downgrade as my Linux knowledge is not very good.

How did you populate your new MySQL database? Online scrape? nfo file scrape? other?

Ok. First I did export the metadata according to the Wiki Guide.
But with the same outcome, so I decided to start over fresh. Also I don't want to pollute my NAS with all those metadata files.

For the example above I have used the TMDB scraper.
I've read they changed their API so I checked I have the lastest version of the scraper installed (3.9.4)

We received a few more posts like yours, so the developers had a look around to see if there was an issue with the scraper TMDB.

Olympia, the author of the scraper, has resolved the issue a few hours ago. It is now a matter of having the update pushed out to all the servers around the planet. If you can just hold on a while, the update will fix it. The last fix took upto 24hrs for some people while others had it in an hour or so.

Good news everyone!

Scraper updated to version 2.15.0 (shouldn't the version be higher than the old one?)

Anyhow, actors are back again.

So it was just coincidence I switched to MySQL and thought that would be the reason.

Not sure where you are seeing 2.15.0, current is 3.9.4. We are talking tmdb movie scraper?
