Hey all,

I hope this is the right forum. I'm dumping my cable bill. I've already got an HDHomeRun and antenna set up for my locals.

My biggest problem at the moment is a need for the cable news channels.. CNN, etc.

Is there a legal way to do this in Kodi? Whether it's using a third party stream service like Sling, etc.. or some other method? Or am I stuck using something like an ATV for one of those services separate from Kodi?

If I can get 24h news and my locals, I'm good to finally chop that cord.

Here's a plugin for PS Vue, which is one streaming service you can use to get cable channels. There may be other options as well.

CNN can be slightly troublesome, but in general there is normally some type of free re-streaming available somewhere.

I couldn't find something workable within Kodi. I ended up getting an AppleTV and have DirecTV Now for CNN, etc.
