1. Please don't post logs inline - paste them to https://paste.kodi.tv/ and post the link here, please.

2. That's a partial log. Please only post full ones, as they give valuable information around hardware platform, OS, versions, addons installed, and so on.

Wow, this thread has come a long way.

The same applies for libbluray which seems to support BD-J for UHD BD now.

Can't believe it's been 2 years since I posted this here.
So, what are the experience of you guys? Is kodi finally able to display UHD BD menus?

We've also improved Blu-ray support in terms of disc detection and metadata, BD-J menu support (subject to Java support on the device)

So yes, provided the device has a supported JRE, Bluray menus should work... why not try it?

It is always pretty much dependent on the bluray itself. I work a lot with iso's and if they are not properly compiled it doesn't work, especially older ones.
But the majority does work, that's really a very nice improvement.
I have no experience with uhd blurays though.
Would like to hear more about compatibility.

Are there any actual INSTRUCTIONS on making BluRays work in Kodi under Windows?  I have shelves of retail AACS encrypted discs and while I've format shifted them and play them off my media server, I'd also just like to add an optical drive to one of my HTPCs and play the discs directly in Kodi.  But the details on supporting AACS and Java are kinda not detailed anywhere that I've seen, unless I've missed it?

Why is it so hard to get this question answered, it's the second time I even asked it in this thread.  Is there some secret copyright sauce that people won't speak allowed about or something so I just get silence? This seems like the most relevant thread to ask about this in. D:  if something I'm asking about doesn't work at the moment, can't someone at least tell me 'Oh you're mistaken, that part is not implimented at all'?

Sorry but you are not posting in the relevant thread as this thread is only about the "menus" part on Blu-rays, and not about Kodi decrypting Blu-ray decryption.

Anyway, currently, Kodi does not support playing encrypted Blu-ray discs out-of-the-box, see 274319 (thread) There is also a technical discussion about exactly that in the development forum here which explains why and what would be needed for out-of-the-box decryption support to happen => 230493 (thread)

There are however workarounds, like example the one discussed here => 189402 (thread)

libaacs is now included, all that's needed for retail discs is the keydb file to be dropped in the correct folder.

Hey jools sorry for the very late reply.

I'll give it a go but I'm stuck at Krypton for the moment.
MadVR is mandatory here since it has amazing upscale capabilities, deliver correct HDR metadata.
And I use one instance already configured with other players like Jriver Media Center.

It would be fantastic if we could get an integrated DSplayer with current Leia build.
I believe this would close the gap as Kodi being the only UHD player needed on a HTPC setup.

And exactly what folder would that be on Windows?  Actually, unless this is documented on the Wiki, could you list it for other OS's too?  Could be handy for others.
