Hi,

After browsing through a few threads and getting slightly confused I thought I'd just ask the question . Does the Amazon FireTV 4k box (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Fire-TV-...ds=fire+4k) output a full Atmos and DTS X soundtrack?

I really need a box that covers Netflix, maybe Amazon media and also Kodi. I dont plan on upgrading to 4k for a while so HDR isnt really and issue for me at the moment. I have recently upgraded my amp and sound setup to cover Atmos and DTS X (both which sound amazing) and I was hoping that the firetv 4k will do this.

No HD Audio Passthrough on the FireTV2 at all, you will have to buy a nVIDIA Shield if you also want the Amazon Video App and those Audio Passthrough requirements in the one device.

A dirt cheap AML S905(x) running LibreELEC Kodi Krypton will give you Atmos and DTS:X & a FireTV stick (v2) would cover DD+ 1080p Netflix and Amazon Video.
