Can Kodi be installed on a thumb drive then plugged in to a smart tv and use like fire stick or laptop?

The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. A thumb drive is not a computer.

A firestick is a computer.

..but if you have a "smart TV" - that IS a computer and if it runs Android, you could install Kodi onto it?
