Display specials within seasons they aired in?
#1
Is there a way to make Kodi display Specials within seasons they were aired in rather than have them all grouped into a specials folder?. Or an option for turning off the specials folder?. It would be much easier for epsodes that are so called "specials" be displayed in chronological order...

of course, it will do this by default if you scrape from tvdb etc. if you use manual nfos you need to use <displayseason> and <displayepisode>. there will still be a specials season though, but they will also show up where you stick em.

sadly i see that my stuff has been nuitered for unknown reasons, so you will get issues with episodes in the middle of a season. in particular, you will have to play with the displayepisode tags for all episodes after. there used to be a sortafter tag to handle this but it has been removed.

If you check the entry for the special at TVDB, you will see two fields...

1. Airs After Season, and
2. Airs Before

Either one of these should have an entry (not both). A lot of times, there is no entry in either, and you need to go in and add where the special episode should appear

@Karellen thanks for that tip, thought that listing was only for the database, didn't know Kodi utilised it.
