I have all video in B&W not in color... of course the interface is in full color.

I have an ATI card with latest drivers.


Any suggestion?

I had the same problem with B/W playback and ran across an older xbmc release which resolved the problem. The title of the release which enabled color playback for me was:

XBMC SVN 2008-02-10 (10th of February 2008) rev11601

I also testing using both versions of the XBMC_PE executable I found reading the forums last night and both enabled color playback in my case.

I was able to play all .MKV and .AVI files quite well, but attempting to run .IFO files or .IMG files threw an error caused by a missing .DLL file. Music files also play quite well, however when escaping back to the dashboard I get a missing directx dll error. I believe this is unfixable due to the release I'm using but just thought I would mention it to others who might have this problem as well.

All in all it's an amazing thing to see XBMC running so well at this stage and it seems very fast too. I can see this becoming one of the top players once just video and audio playback are working and taking top position once everything is sorted out. Thanks to the Devs who are working on this and I will definitely be keeping close track of the progress you guys make. I'm very excited at the thought of being able to run this full time and going back to XP.
