I recently got a android tv box and installed Krypton. My antenna is wired to an HDHOMERUN, and I have all my OTA channels playing on Kodi. I see that there is a record feature but I don't know how to work it. The DVR app for the hdhomerun is very unreliable and I would like to be able to record movies from my antenna if it is possible. I am a cord cutter and this is my first experience using Kodi, and know very little about programing so I need all the help I can get.

The PVR feature in hdhomerun is something they'll charge you an extra subscription for.

One way around this is to set up a box (a raspberry pi will do) and run something like TVheadend on it. I have such a setup (my hdhomerun connect feeds a Pi 2 with TVheadend and a WD MyPassport) and with that I can record and play back via the kodi TVheadend PVR addon.
