Kodi isnt seeing my smb shares

Ive changed the share from workgroup to HOMEGROUP.

my pi can see the computer the shares are on, thru UPNP. So it knows the computer is there. I can access the shares from other linux computers so i know its not a linux problem. Only thing I can think of is ive left the WINS server ip at 0.0.0.0.

ALso, when i had a hacked western digital media player plus on my network, openelec could see the hard drives attached thru it as smb shares.

At a loss here.

You can't use homegroup sharing.
